Central Heating Power Flushers
Why does your central heating system need a power flush?
Power flushes are required if the water running through your boiler and radiators is dirty, clogged up with grime, rust or other sediments that can affect the temperature or the operations of your boiler.
You can usually tell that your system needs a power flush if the bottom or sections of your radiators are cold. (Do not confuse this for the top section of the radiators where they just need bleeding).
The power flush process:
- A few days before we flush your system, we add a special chemical cleaner to your radiator water which will loosen all the dirt and grime that is running through your radiators.
- We then attach a power flush machine which pushes a continuous strong blast of water through your system for several hours, pushing out all the dirt from your system.
- Once we confirm your system is clean, we then add a chemical inhibitor to the system which protects your system and boiler to stop rust and internal corrosion from occurring. This helps maintain the performance and efficiency of your boiler.
- For an additional charge we can install a filter to your system that will help keep your system clean, improving the performance of your system and extend the life of your boiler.
